After two years of construction, the North End Zone Student-Athlete Development Center is complete. The 138,000-square-foot facility opened in August 2009 for football and administrative personnel.

At the heart of the new structure is one of the largest strength and conditioning centers in the country. The 25,000-square-foot area is located at field level and provides student-athletes in every varsity sport with access to brand new weight training and cardio equipment. The facility houses about 150 pieces of equipment, over 11 tons of dumbbells and over 40 tons of free weights for IU athletes to use.

The center is located on the bottom level of the new facility with glass windows looking out to the field. It is nearly five times the size of the previous weight room.

The Hoosier Football program enjoys spacious new offices, position and staff meeting rooms and a team auditorium, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Each position room provides players with the resources they need not just for position meetings, but also for individual film review at any time. Additionally, the North End Zone houses the offices for IU's Athletics Administration.

In the hallways outside the locker room and team room, Indiana Football honors its all-time greats. Plaques on the West side of the North End Zone by the locker room feature Legacy Games, which details the greatest games in school history, from rivalry victories to wins over ranked opponents. On the East side by the team room, IU honors its Legacy Players with plaques for All-Americans, Big Ten MVPs, IU Athletics Hall of Famers and NFL Pro Bowlers.

Indiana's Henke Hall of Champions celebrates Hoosier greats from all sports and is located on the top level of the North End Zone Student-Athlete Development Center. It features museum-quality displays and a large banquet area where Hoosier fans can gather to celebrate the past, present and future of IU Athletics. The Hall of Champions is the largest banquet facility on the Indiana University campus.

In the seating bowl directly in front of the Henke Hall of Champions, the 425-seat club section sold out for every game of the 2009 season.
