    Assistant Athletic Trainer

    Robert Black is in his 23rd year at Indiana University and his seventh with the Women's Basketball program. Prior sports coverage at IU includes Football, Men's and Women's Golf and Track and Field.

    Robert is presently working on his doctoral degree in Higher Education.

    Robert earned his master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in athletic training from Indiana in 1985. Following graduation, he worked as an assistant strength coach at IU. Upon leaving IU, he went to the United States Military Academy at West Point NY where he served as an athletic trainer for Army football and wrestling teams. In 1988, the Army football team played in the Sun Bowl.

    A native of Cheyenne, Wyo., Robert graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1975. Following graduation, Robert taught high school physical education, coached girls basketball, boys and girls track and field at Cheyenne Central High School from 1975-82.

    Robert and his wife Deb have a son; D 'Andre.
