Amy Freel is in her fourth season at Indiana and was named senior assistant athletic director for sport medicine & sport performance on May 12, 2014.
Responsible for developing a comprehensive nutrition program geared toward improving the training, performance and recovery of Indiana's student-athletes.
A registered dietitian, Freel spent 2002-10 building the same program at Virginia Tech.
Founding board member for the newly formed Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA).
Received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ball State University, where she competed in intercollegiate gymnastics for four years.
Amy and her husband, Mike, have four children, Ben, Matt, Ashley and Luke.
