Andy Hipskind is in his 12th year as team physician for the Indiana football program. He was named senior assistant athletic director for sports medicine and sports performance and chief medical officer on May 12, 2014.
A 1995 graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in biology and a member of the men's track and field team, Hipskind graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1999.
Completed a family practice residency at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind., and a sports medicine fellowship in Philadelphia following graduation.
Owns board certifications in both sports medicine and as a family physician.
Hipskind, a native of Bloomington, Ind., attended Bloomington North High School.
Andy and his wife, Angie, reside in Bloomington with their daughter, Charlize (8) and son, Drew (6).
