Maurice Sims joined Indiana as an assistant strength and conditioning coach on Feb. 6.
Came to Bloomington after serving in the same capacity at North Carolina A&T State University since Sept. 2012.
Sims was an assistant strength coach for football and the head strength coach for basketball, baseball, softball and track and field.

All-conference defensive back at Concord University prior to transferring to the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and playing for the USFL's Tennessee Crush.
Combined for 110 tackles, eight pass breakups, four forced fumbles, one interception and one touchdown in 2005 and 2006.
Earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Tennessee-Chattanooga and his master's degree in transformative leadership: strength and performance from Bethune-Cookman.
Sims is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weight Lifting Club Coach and American Safety and Health Institute (CPR and AED).
