Andrea Roth is in her sixth year as an Athletic Trainer at Indiana University and works with the field hockey and softball programs. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialis (CSCS) and Performance Enhancement Specialis (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Prior to arriving in Bloomington, Roth worked at the University of Maryland with field hockey and lacrosse from 2001-05. Before helping with the Terrapins, Roth worked with the football and track and field teams at the United States Naval Academy from 1999-2001 after serving as an interim trainer for Ohio State women's basketball.
Roth is a 1993 graduate of West Chester University with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. After attending West Chester, Roth earned a master's of arts from the University of Alabama in 1995. During her tenure with the Crimson Tide, Roth helped with the women's basketball and women's soccer teams.
Roth worked on the International Olympic Committee's venue medical staff at both the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and 2004 Athens Olympiad. She has also worked with USA Field Hockey at the U-18 Pan-Am Games in 2009, where they won a gold medal, and the U-16 Pan-Am Games in 2010, winning a bronze medal.
In addition, Roth also is an instructor in the Athletic Training undergraduate program and serves on a committee with the National Athletic Trainers Association.
