Hoosiers Drop Match at No. 12 Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – Amelia Anderson led the Hoosiers with eight kills, but the Hoosiers fell on the road, 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-12) at No. 12 Wisconsin on Sunday at the UW Field House.
Senior libero Courtney Harnish moved into tenth on the Hoosiers all-time list for career digs. Harnish tallied eight for the match and now has 1,015 for her career.
Jazzmine McDonald tallied five kills for Indiana and hit .444 in the match. Allison Hammond recorded four kills and senior Kyndall Merritt contributed seven digs for the Hoosiers.
After dropping the first set of the match the Hoosiers got out to a 3-1 lead in set two with kills from Elizabeth Asdell, McDonald and Hammond. The second set had seven ties and three lead changes and the Hoosiers kept within two until Wisconsin used a 7-0 run to go up 21-13 and take control. After two sets Anderson led the way for Indiana with seven kills.
In set three the Hoosiers made eight errors compared to three from Wisconsin and found themselves behind early in the set.
Up next the Hoosiers return home to host Iowa on Wednesday Nov. 4 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Indiana is also home on Saturday Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m. ET when they host Nebraska.
