IU Diving Ready for USA Diving Winter National Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University diving team will head to the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis this week to participate in the 2015 USA Diving Winter National Championships and World Cup Trials starting on Tuesday.
The meet begins on Tuesday, December 15 and runs through Sunday, December 20. Live results for the entire meet can be found on IUHoosiers.com.
The Hoosiers will have five divers currently on the team – Jessica Parratto, Lacey Houser, Michal Bower, Michael Hixon and Joshua Arndt – as well as IU alumni Amy Cozad and Darian Schmidt competing at the event. All seven divers will be competing as individuals this week.
Parratto will team up with Cozad to compete in the platform synchro dive, while both will also compete as individuals on the platform. Houser and Bower will both compete in the 3-meter springboard.
For the Hoosier men, Hixon and Schmidt will team up for the 3-meter synchro. Both Hixon and Schmidt, along with Arndt, will dive as individuals in the 3-meter springboard.
At the meet, the Hoosier divers will be looking to qualify for the USA World Cup team. To qualify in the individual events, the divers must finish in the top-two. In the synchro events, only the team that wins will make the World Cup team.
