Below is an installment of a blog originally developed and written by Indiana women's basketball playersTyra Buss, Amanda Cahill and Jess Walter. This post and future posts will be entirely written by these three players. Nothing has changed from the original Fresh Folk Blog except the platform. Enjoy!
Well nuts. It's been a hot second since we've last blogged to y'all, but don't fret. We are ready to blog our little hearts away!
Last time we blogged about the adventures of living on our own. However, now we are fully self-sufficient adults. JK. We've still got the fruit flies, but they're basically our house pets. A new addition to the good ol' homestead is Kenny. Aka Tia (Elbert). She is a grand addition to "The Casa" which is what we are calling our apartment. We are still working on getting cable, which would have been ideal to have during The NBA Finals, but hey, work with what ya got, right? (Beez was only mildly heartbroken when her main man Bron Bron couldn't come through, and TT and JJ will hold it over her for a longggggggg time to come). But, if any of y'all have suggestions on what type of cable we should install here at "The Casa" let us know. For real.
I love @Tia_thefuture21 ?????? I'm so happy she is a 704er

The Folk has been trying to be more adventuresome as of late. We frequent the IU outdoor pool, and by frequent I mean about once or twice a week. It's awesome, and the tan is slowly coming back! GET HYPE! One of our more recent trips involved us opening up a can of you know what during three vs. two pool hoops. The Folk took on Baby Em (Emmitt Holt) and Bobby (Robert Johnson) and it was complete domination... Okay not really. But we did have an awesome comeback... then fell short. We made a valiant effort though, and to be honest, it was exhausting. Cross training at it's finest.
Now is the time of year where we are trying to make them gains, ya feel? We wake up at 5:30 a.m., lift and condition at 6:30 a.m., and then have class. Three times a week we have forty minute on court workouts, individualized by position and on the other days we try to sprinkle in some pick-up games. Ball is life.
Welcome Workout this morning was a success! The Freshies are here!!?????????? #squad #iuwbb pic.twitter.com/Z3IZMbfoe5
— Tyra Buss (@tbuss3) June 22, 2015Other than that, we are still the same ol', same ol' Folk. For our next addition, we want to do an inclusive thing-a-ma-jiggy. Tweet your questions at the Indiana Women's Basketball account, and we will pick some of our favorites to answer in the next blog!
Til next time, love y'all long time.
~The Fresh Folk
