Indiana Football Preseason Roster Updates

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana football team opens preseason camp on Thursday, Aug. 6. Newcomers will report on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and returners will follow on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
"This is the best team, the best chemistry and the best preparation we have had," Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson said. "Our kids are fighting for and believing in themselves and each other. Mark Hill and our strength and conditioning staff along with our medical and academic staffs did a phenomenal job this summer. We are ready to get started."
Sophomore wide receiver J-Shun Harris suffered an ACL injury, which requires surgery and will force him to redshirt the 2015 season.
Sophomore cornerback Donavan Clark will be limited during camp due to a back injury.
Fifth-year senior offensive lineman Ralston Evans has been granted a medical hardship, which will end his football career.
"Injuries ended Ralston's final two seasons and limited him this spring. He was a great player and is an even better man. Fortunately, Ralston will serve as a student coach this year. His leadership will continue to be invaluable to our team."
Cornerback Kenny Mullen has graduated and will forego his fifth and final season of eligibility.
Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Nick Carovillano, redshirt freshman wide receiver Coray Keel and junior cornerback Laray Smith have left the program.
"Nick, Coray and Laray leave IU in good academic standing," Wilson said. "We wish them the best moving forward."
True freshman athlete Donavan Hale has qualified and will report to preseason camp.
