Bryant Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week
Indiana freshman center Thomas Bryant was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after he averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds in wins last week against Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Against the Buckeyes, he had his first career double-double and finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds in the 85-60 win over OSU. Against the Badgers, he had 10 points and seven rebounds as IU topped Wisconsin 59-58.
He leads the Big Ten in field goal shooting making 72.1% of his shots in 17 games and 72.4% of his attempts after four league games.
This is the second time he has been honored this season. He was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on November 23. He is averaging 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds this season and 12.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in Big
