BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Soccer head coach Amy Berbary announced the 2016 signing class on Wednesday with 10 high school seniors sending in their National Letters of Intent. Those seniors will join Sarah L'Hommedieu, who graduated a semester early and is currently enrolled.
"I am not sure there are words to express how thrilled our staff is about this class," said Berbary. "We have dedicated an enormous amount of time over the last two and a half years to identify some of the most talented and skillful soccer players in the country, as well as internationally. The brand of student-athlete that will join our program this fall will certainly push our current players to new levels as well as drive this team to reach a new standard of competitiveness in the Big Ten."
This year's signing class hails from six states and two international countries. Signees include five players from Region II (Indiana, Ohio, Michigan), two from Region IV (Arizona and Southern California) and one from Region I (Virginia), as well as two from Canada and one from Australia.
Here's a look at the signees, in the order that their NLI's were received:
Nov. 10, 2015: Sarah L'Hommedieu (Hudson, Ohio)
7:05 a.m.: Emma Kershner (Centreville, Va.)
7:27 a.m.: Grace Labadie (Kalamazoo, Mich.)
8:00 a.m.: Julia De Angelis (Canberra, Australia)

10:37 a.m.: Macy Miller (Carmel, Ind.)
2:49 p.m.: Chandra Davidson (Binbrook, Ontario)
4:45 p.m.: Kyndal McKinney (Fishers, Ind.)
Berbary is entering her fourth season at the helm of the program, having coached two NSCAA All-Region selections, an All-Big Ten pick, as well as 45 Academic All-Big Ten honorees and four Capital One Academic All-District Team members.
In her first season, Berbary led the Hoosiers to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament and a 15-7-1 overall record as the team set new program marks for victories, goals scored, assists and shutouts in a season. Other highlights from her tenure include back-to-back wins against Purdue (2013-14), a 2015 scoreless streak of 463 minutes, which is the second longest scoreless span in program history, and two Herbert Cups, an award given to the Indiana team with the highest GPA in a semester.
