2013-14 (R-SOPHOMORE) : Cross Country: ran a season-best time of 25:07.4 in the 8,000m run at the Pre-National Invitational...finished in eighth-place at the Hoosier Open in 25:33.3...opened the season with a 14th place finish at the Indiana Open. Indoor: finished in third-place at the Indiana-Purdue dual meet in the 800m run in 1:54.35...ran a season-best time in the mile of 4:10.77 to finish in sixth-place at the Meyo Invitational...finished in 17th place in the 800m run at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in 1:53.38. Outdoor: finished in third-place in the 3,000m steeplechase in a season-best time of 8:54.17 at the Penn Relays...finished in 18th place in the 3K steeplechase at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships...qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round and finished in 40th place in the 3K steeplechase.
2012-13 (R-FRESHMAN): Indoor: season-best time of 1:55.33 to finish in third-place in the 800-meter run at the Indiana University vs. Purdue University dual meet...Outdoor: finished in third-place at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 8:53.80...advanced to the NCAA National Championships with an eighth-place finish in the steeplechase in a career-best time of 8:47.44.

Coach Helmer: "Josh has performed very consistently in the middle distance events the past couple of years while having to deal with a fairly inconsistent level of training. Once we find a way to keep him consistently healthy I think he has the ability to make some really solid improvement. Once his strength improves we also see him as a steeplechase candidate."
