    2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): Indoor: set a career-best mark of 7.01 meters (23-0) in the long jump to place 13th at the Big Ten Indoor Championships...finished in second-place at the Hoosier Hills Invitational in the triple jump with a mark of 14.55 meters (47-9)...Outdoor: set a career-best mark in the triple jump at the Penn Relays with a jump of 15.07 meters (49-5.5)...finished 10th place at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the triple jump with a leap of 14.66 meters (48-1.25).

    2012 (FRESHMAN): Indoor: Jumped 6.92m (22-8.5) in the long jump and 14.51m (47-7.25) in the triple jump. Outdoor: Jumped a PR of 7.01m (23-0) in the long jump at the Billy Hayes Invitational.

    PREP: Pennsylvania state runner-up for Sarah Miller and Lee Zelkowitz at Penn Hills ... placed second four times and third once at Pennsylvania State Meets ... holds the school record in the triple jump at 48-6.5 ... also has a PR of 23-9 in the long jump ... also earned a letter in basketball. PERSONAL: Son of Richard and Gloria Rouse ... has two brothers, William and Jaden ... born Feb. 12, 1993 ... undecided on a major.

    COACH HELMER: "Richard is a good all round athlete. He jumped remarkably well indoors this past year while playing basketball and has the ability to run pretty good high school level 4 X 400 carries. The weight room will be his best friend and with improved strength we expect to see him become one of the best double jumpers in the Big Ten."
