    Keller in 10th After Day One of USA Decathlon

    DES MOINES, Iowa - Indiana track and field closed saw action open at the USA Jr. and Sr. Championships on Wednesday, as freshman Stephen Keller competed in the junior men's decathlon. Keller finished the day in 10th place with 3,477 points.

    Keller opened his day with a time of 11.76 seconds in the 100m dash. He then jumped 6.28m (20-7.25) in the long jump, threw 11.22m (36-9.75) in the shot put, cleared 1.99m (6-6.25) in the high jump and ran 50.82 seconds in the 400m. His marks in the long jump, shot put and 400 are all career bests. Keller is 77 points ahead of his PR pace from the Texas Relays earlier this season.
