MONCTON, New Brunswick - Indiana's Derek Drouin competed one final time in his Indiana University colors on Saturday, adding one more accomplishment to his illustrious career. Drouin won his fourth Canadian national title in the high jump, clinching his spot on Team Canada for the IAAF World Championships in Moscow this August. IU senior Emma Kimoto also competed in the high jump in Canada, taking third place.

Drouin cleared 2.31m (7-7) for the win, defeating fellow London Olympian Michael Mason for his fourth Canadian title (three as a senior athlete, one as a junior). Drouin needed only to finish top three at the meet to clinch his spot in Moscow. Drouin took one jump at 2.34m (7-8), which would've broken Milton Ottey's meet record. After missing that attempt, Drouin called it a day. The five-time NCAA Champion will compete at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow on August 10-18. Drouin has been a regular on the Team Canada roster since competing at the IAAF World Youth Championships in 2008, and last competed for Canada a the 2012 London Olympics.

Kimoto cleared 1.80m (5-10.75) for third place in the women's high jump. The senior culminates her collegiate career which included a pair of Big Ten Championships in this her senior season.
