BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Postseason laurels continue to roll in for the Hoosiers after what was a historic 2011-12 campaign in track and field. The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced this week that 11 Hoosiers have been named All-Academic honorees. The group is highlighted by NCAA 1,500-meter Champion Andy Bayer.

The 11 Hoosiers were, from the women's team, Kelsie Ahbe, Chelsea Blanchard, Kelsey Duerksen, Breanne Ehrman, Samantha Ginther and Jordan Gray and Bayer, Adrien Dannemiller, Zach Mayhew, Chris Vaughn and Andy Weatherford from the men's team.

All five men who made the list also earned All-America accolades this year. Blanchard and Bayer were both honored last month as Capital One Academic All-America honors.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
