Indiana opens the 2012-13 season with the Hoosier Open on Dec. 7-8. The meet will feature open competition on Friday, highlighted by elite invitational 5,000m races at 8:35 and 8:55 p.m. ET, as well as men's and women's pentathlon's on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. ET.

Brie Roller and Cortland Etgen both came to IU last year, and each had very different experiences. Roller had a nice freshman campaign, punctuated by running in the USA Track and Field Junior Championships. Etgen's season ended before it got started, as a small injury ended in his redshirting both seasons. Both Hoosiers are looking to get back on the track this weekend.
