BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- As a Varsity Club donor, your contributions make a direct impact on student-athletes. You help us to offer athletic scholarships and support some of the most talented student-athletes in the country. In no way is this more apparent than with gifts to IU Glaubinger Athletic Endowment Fund
In recognition of this perpetual source of funding for student-athletic scholarships, donors that support our endowment fund are eligible for additional priority points.
Priority points are used to allocate priority seating at football and men's basketball games. At the Varsity Club, we frequently get asked about ways donors can earn more priority points. In this edition of Priority Point Spotlight, we'll highlight the priority points earned through gifts to the Glaubinger Athletic Endowment Fund.
The Indiana University Priority Point Policy was designed to ensure equitable consideration for the loyalty and financial support of the thousands of IU fans who wish to attend athletic events.
One of the key ways in which this is done is by rewarding those donors who provide extra financial support to IU Athletics through the IU Glaubinger Athletic Endowment Fund.
The IU Glaubinger Athletic Endowment was established in 1984 to provide a perpetual source of funding for student-athlete scholarships. When you name or endow a scholarship, you ensure funds in perpetuity that IU student-athletes can count on. It allows your generosity - and your name - to live on as a permanent part of Indiana University and IU Athletics.
Donors to the IU Glaubinger Athletic Endowment Fund receive one (1) 1 accumulative point for every $100 donated to IU Athletics over their lifetime. They also receive one (1) non-accumulative point for every $100 received in the previous year.
Non-accumulative points are awarded on an annual basis, but expire at the end of the year. They are granted each July 1st based on gifts received in the prior year (July 1-June 30).
Establishing a named scholarship begins at $100,000 and fully endowing an out-of-state scholarship is approximately $800,000. Endowed gifts are made with gifts of cash, pledges, stocks, securities, trusts, gift annuities, life insurance, bequests and real estate.

Note: The IU Priority Point Policy is reviewed annually by the Varsity Club National Board of Directors and is subject to change.
