BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Did you know that you can earn extra priority points by supporting athletic initiatives like the Stadium Club, team funds and facility projects?
Priority points are used to allocate priority seating at football and men's basketball games. At the Varsity Club, we frequently get asked about how to earn more priority points. In this edition of Priority Point Spotlight, we'll highlight some of the ways you can earn extra non-accumulative priority points through special athletics initiatives.
Varsity Club donors do a lot more than fund student-athletic scholarships. You also provide resources for facility improvements and special team needs. For example, IU's newest facilities, Cook Hall and Memorial Stadiums North End Zone facility - were funded entirely through private contributions from Varsity Club donors. No state funds or tuition revenue was used to fund these facilities.
Because support for these projects is vital to providing top-notch facilities, Varsity Club annual giving donors that help to fund capital projects, team funds, and other eligible funds earn extra priority points.
Members of the IU Stadium Club also earn extra points. Located in the Memorial Stadium's Press Box, the Stadium Club combines the comfort and convenience of indoor seating along with catered food and beverages to give you an all-inclusive football game day experience. When you purchase Stadium Club seats, your package includes a season ticket, parking, food & beverage and charitable donation to the IU Varsity Club. This charitable donation ensures that Stadium Club members earn priority points.
Donors to IU Athletics (in areas other than the Varsity Club Annual Giving Fund) receive one (1) accumulative point for every $100 donated to IU Athletics over their lifetime. Priority points for donations are awarded as gifts are received.
Donors to these other areas also receive one (1) non-accumulative point for every $100 given in the previous year for Athletic Endowment, Stadium Club, capital campaign projects, team funds and other athletic funds.
Non-accumulative points are awarded on an annual basis, but expire at the end of the year. They are granted each July 1st based on donations received during the previous year (July 1-June 30).
