Priority Point Spotlight #2: Continuous Years As A Season Ticket Holder

Did you know that by purchasing season tickets in three sports can earn you a total of 30 accumulative priority points each year just by being a continuous supporter?

Priority points are used to allocate priority seating at football and men's basketball games. At the Varsity Club, we frequently get asked about ways donors can earn more priority points. In this edition of Priority Point Spotlight, we'll highlight the priority points you earn just by being a continuous season ticket holder.

The Indiana University Priority Point Policy was designed to ensure equitable consideration for the loyalty and financial support of the thousands of IU fans who wish to attend athletic events.

One of the key ways in which this is done is by rewarding the loyalty of fans that continue to purchase season tickets year after year. You can earn 10 accumulative points for every continuous year you are season ticket holder in football. Men's basketball season ticket holders also earn 10 accumlative points each year. You can also now earn an additional 10 points each year for purchasing season tickets in at least one of these additional sports: women's basketball, baseball, men's soccer and volleyball.

Points are granted at the end of each sport's respective season. You must purchase season tickets every year to maintain these priority points. For our new category, Other Sports Season Ticket Continuous Years, you can select differing sports from year to year. However, the maximum number of points you can earn in the category is 10. You will not earn more points for holding season tickets in multiple other sports (e.g. men's soccer and baseball).

Note: Priority points are not used for the allocation of seating at women's basketball, baseball, men's soccer or volleyball games. However, your purchase of season tickets in these other sports will help you to secure 10 additional accumulative points for seating at men's basketball and football games.

So, by supporting three sports as a continuous season ticket holder, you can earn a total of 30 accumulative priority points every year!

Note: The IU Priority Point Policy is reviewed annually by the Varsity Club National Board of Directors and is subject to change.
