Priority Point Spotlight 4: Memorial Stadium Glory Plaza Bricks

Did you know that you can earn extra priority points when you purchase a Memorial Stadium Glory Plaza Brick?

Priority points are used to allocate priority seating at football and men’s basketball games. At the Varsity Club, we frequently get asked about ways donors can earn more priority points. In this edition of Priority Point Spotlight, we’ll highlight how you can earn extra priority points and see your name etched in stone with a Glory Plaza Brick.

When you purchase a Memorial Stadium Glory Plaza Brick, you become a permanent part of IU Athletics. Glory Plaza, at the north entrance of Memorial stadium, features brick pavers that can be personalized with individual and company names, dates and special messages. The 4" x 8" and 8" x 8" engraved bricks are a great way to recognize and honor families, alumni and special IU memories.

Etch your name into the history of IU Athletics while also supporting its future. Brick donations are 100 percent tax deductible (minus any replica bricks) and considered as charitable gifts to the Indiana University Foundation Athletic Department Capital Project Fund.

Brick paver contributions are also eligible for accumulative and non-accumulative priority points in the “Contributions to IU Athletics” category.

Donors receive 1 accumulative point for every $100 donated to IU Athletics over their lifetime. Priority points for donations are awarded as gifts are received. Brick purchasers also receive 1 non-accumulative point for every $100 given toward their brick costs (not including replicas, if purchased).

Non-accumulative points are awarded on an annual basis, but expire at the end of the year. Priority points for Glory Plaza Bricks are granted each July 1st based on brick purchases made during the previous year (July 1-June 30).

"For more than 30 years, Memorial Stadium has been home to great coaches, athletes, legends and teams. They all left their mark on Indiana University," said Athletic Director Fred Glass. "The new North End Zone Facility will be a gateway to the next generation of traditions and legends and its fitting that Glory Plaza will also allow our fans to show their pride and leave their own lasting tribute."

There is no limit to the number of Glory Plaza Bricks you can order each year. To make a gift for a Glory Plaza Brick, order online or download an order form (Adobe PDF) to submit by mail.
