Priority Point Spotlight #5: IU Alumni Association Members
IU Alumni Association (IUAA) members benefit greatly from being connected to a global network of more than a half million Indiana University alums. But your IUAA benefits don’t end with great events, publications and career opportunities. IUAA members are also eligible for priority points used for the allocation of priority seating at football and men’s basketball games.
At the Varsity Club, we frequently get asked about ways donors can earn more priority points. In this edition of Priority Point Spotlight, we’ll highlight the priority points you earn by becoming an IU Alumni Association member.
The Indiana University Priority Point Policy was designed to ensure equitable consideration for the loyalty and financial support of the thousands of IU fans who wish to attend athletic events.
Members of the IU Alumni Association represent s worldwide network of loyal IU alums committed to the University and its future. We’re proud to support members of the IU Alumni Association with non-accumulative priority points each year. Annual IUAA members receive five (5) non-accumulative points each year. Lifetime members receive ten (10) non-accumulative points each year.
Non-accumulative points are awarded on an annual basis, but expire at the end of the year. Priority points for IUAA membership are granted each July 1st based on your membership during the previous year (July 1-June 30).
Not an IUAA member yet? The IUAA has many different membership options including single membership, joint membership, recent graduate discounts, discounts for multi-year membership, and lifetime membership. University faculty and staff can also use payroll deduction to make membership payments easy. View IUAA Membership Information.
You can also claim a tax deduction for your IUAA membership, making it even more affordable to become a member.
The I Association is an IUAA affiliate group made up of former varsity student-athlete letter winners who sponsor and participate in activities that benefit IU Athletics. Former letterwinning athletes that join this organization and maintain its annual dues are eligible for an additional fifteen (15) non-accumulative priority points each year.
