Priority Point Spotlight #8: Well House Society
When you support the IU Foundation's Well House Society, your annual donations are used where University needs are the greatest. This society was created to provide an ongoing, unrestricted and flexible source of funding to beautify the Bloomington campus and enrich its academic mission.
Ongoing financial support provided to the Well House Society makes an enormous impact. Because generosity is vital for this fund, donations also earn additional priority points each year.
Priority points are used to allocate priority seating at football and men's basketball games. At the Varsity Club, we frequently get asked about ways for donors to earn more priority points. In this edition of Priority Point Spotlight, we'll highlight the priority points awarded to Well House Society members.
The Indiana University Priority Point Policy was designed to ensure equitable consideration for the loyalty and financial support of the thousands of IU fans who wish to attend athletic events. One of the key ways in which this is done is by rewarding the loyalty of IU Foundation Well House Society Members who are also Varsity Club annual giving fund donors.
Well House Society members give at least $2,000 annually to the IU Foundation with a minimum of $1,000 going to the Well House Society fund. If you are under 40, you may become a member with an annual gift of $1,000 to the IU Foundation with $500 to the Well House Society Fund.
One (1) accumulative point is awarded for every $100 contribution you make to the Well House Society beginning in 1985 not to exceed the amount designated as the annual contribution to the Varsity Club. You must maintain your Well House Society membership each year to retain your Well House Society related points.
Annual Well House Society members also receive ten (10) non-accumulative points each year.
Non-accumulative points are awarded on an annual basis, but expire at the end of the year. Priority points for Well House Society membership are granted each July 1st based on membership the previous year (July 1-June 30).
Note: The IU Priority Point Policy is reviewed annually by the Varsity Club National Board of Directors and is subject to change.
