Naming Opportunities

In August, 2011, the IU Board of Trustees officially approved construction of a new baseball and softball complex —located on the north edge of the IU Bloomington athletics campus near the 45/46 Bypass (Read announcement.). The new $19.8 million complex replaces Sembower Field and the IU Softball Field (located on Fee Lane). Construction began in the spring of 2012 and was completed prior to the 2013 baseball and softball season.

In December, 2012, Indiana University Athletics announced that the name its new softball facility would be Andy Mohr Field in honor of a major gift to IU Athletics from Andy Mohr, IU alumnus and CEO of Plainfield-based Andy Mohr Automotive Group. Read more about this announcement.

In April, 2013, Andy Mohr Field was formally dedicated. Read more about the dedication ceremony.

• New locker rooms, dugouts and warm-up areas
• Indoor and outdoor hitting cages
• New turf field
• Press box to accommodate 15 media stations, radio
announcers and restrooms
• Hospitality suite for 24-32 guests
• New scoreboard 
• New stadium lighting
• Team room for players 
• New PA/sound system
• Bench and stadium chair seating
• Storage for equipment
• Accommodation for TV cameras and production trucks
