    Hoosier Men Take Fifth at Wisconsin adidas Invitational

    Andrew Poore and Samantha Ginther led the way for Indiana on Friday.

    2010-11 (R-JUNIOR): Cross Country: Finished fourth on the team and fifth overall to begin the year at the Indiana Open in a time of 25:31.69 ... was the third Hoosier to cross the line at the adidas Invitational, placing eighth overall as IU went on to take the team championship ... placed 20th in the Chile Pepper Festival at Arkansas with a time of 30:13.33 ... rounded out IU's scoring at Big Tens, placing 29th in 24:31 ... crossed the line in 19th place at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional ... was the fifth Hoosier to complete the course at the NCAA Championships, placing 105th, as IU finished seventh as a team, its best national finish since 1977. Indoor: Redshirted. Outdoor: Earned All-America honors for the second-straight year in the 3,000m steeplechase, taking sixth at NCAAs in a PR 8:39.12 ... won the Big Ten title in the steeplechase with teammates Andrew Poore and Andy Weatherford taking second and fourth respectively ... handed off in the lead on both IU's 4xMile and distance medley relays at Penn Relays ... clocked PRs of 1:50.05 in the 800m and 14:08.16 in the 5,000m ... was named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Regional Track Athlete of the Year.

    2009-10 (R-SOPHOMORE): Cross Country: Opened his season with 29th place at the Paul Short Run, finishing in 24:19 ... helped IU to a perfect score of 15 at the Sam Bell Invitational, taking fourth overall in 25:27.81 ... was 35th at Big Tens in 26:25.7 ... finished 89th at the Great Lakes Regional in 33:11.84 ... named academic All-Big Ten. Indoor: Earned All-America honors as the 1,200m leg of the Hoosier distance medley relay that took seventh at NCAAs in 9:39.35, the sixth-best time in IU history ... ran the 800m leg on IU's NCAA-qualifying relay at the Alex Wilson Invitational, finishing in 9:32.73 for second in the IU records ... had the fifth-best DMR time in IU lore at the Tyson Invite, running the 1,200m leg to a time of 9:38.39 ... took ninth in the mile at Big Tens, finishing one spot away from a team point ... posted a career-best time of 4:02.68 in the mile at the Indiana Relays ... ran a PR in the 3,000 at the Indiana Open, finishing in 8:13.92. Outdoor: Earned All-America honors with a 12th-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase at NCAAs ... earned his way to the NCAA East Preliminary Round with a Big Ten title-winning effort in the steeplechase, finishing in 8:43.72 for the win at the conference meet ... bettered his Big Ten time at the East prelims, finishing in 8:43.44 for the fifth spot in the IU record books and fourth at the prelims ... opened his season with a PR in the 5K at the Stanford Invitational, finishing in 14:25.54 ... clocked a PR in the 1,500m at the Border Battle: "Kentuckiana," finishing in 3:47.29 ... broke a 30-year-old track record at the ISU Quadgrangular, finishing the steeplechase in 9:43.25 for the win ... ran the lead leg on the Hoosiers fourth-place 4xMile relay at Penn Relays, finishing in 16:20.90 with his split of 4:05.6.

    2008-09 (R-FRESHMAN): Cross Country: Finished 12th in 29:15.24 at the Indiana Open 8k ... finished in 24th place with a time of 26:26 at Indiana intercollegiates ... placed 45th in 25:51 at the Cowboy Jamboree ... placed 43rd (25:36.2) at Big Tens ... crossed the finish line in 32:14.5 to take 32nd place at the Great Lakes Regional. Indoor: Earned All-America honors as a carry on the distance medley relay team ... ran the lead leg on the seventh-place team at NCAAs ... recorded an automatic NCAA qualification at the Alex Wilson Invitational in the DMR, finishing in 9:31.81, which is the second-fastest time in school history ... ran the third leg on the fourth-place DMR at Big Tens ... moved into fifth in the IU record books, cutting just over two seconds off of his previous career best with his provisional qualifying time of 1:50.08 in the 800m at the Meyo Invitational ... ran the third leg of the winning 4x800m relay team at the Indiana Relays, finishing in 7:35.48 ... ran a career best time of 4:07.35 in the mile at the Indiana Relays. Outdoor: Claimed his second career Big Ten medal and first career All-Big Ten honor when he was second in the men's steeplechase finishing in 8:56.77 ... won the 4x1,500m relay at the Sea Ray Relays ... took seventh in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Mideast Regional finishing in 8:55.75 ... posted a career best time of 1:53.65 in the 800m at the Alabama Relays ... ran a career best 3:48.43 in the 1,500m at the Billy Hayes Invitational ... ran the 5,000m in 14:41.73 for 11th at Big Tens.

    2007-08 (FRESHMAN): Was a redshirt during the cross country and outdoor seasons ... posted IU's fastest 800-meter time during the indoor season when he crossed the finish line in 1:52.11 at the Meyo Invitational ... ran a leg of the Hoosiers' 4x800-meter relay team that clocked a time of 7:43.69 at the Big Ten/SEC Challenge ... also recorded personal bests in the 600 (1:21.10 - Indiana Open), mile (4:12.80 - Tyson Invitational) and in the 3,000-meters (8:21.61 - Indiana Relays).
