    B1G Championships Preview Get Acrobat Reader

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana cross country teams are preparing to jump in to the championship portion of the 2013 schedule and it begins with the Big Ten Championships on Sunday, Nov. 3. This year's event will be hosted by Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. at the Boilermaker Cross Country Course.

    Two races are scheduled for Sunday beginning with the men's 8K run beginning at 10:45 a.m. ET followed by the women's 6K at 11:45 a.m. Admission is free for the event and parking in adjacent parking lots will be $10.

    The IU women's team is currently ranked 21st nationally, the team's highest ranking since 2004. The Hoosiers are one of six nationally ranked teams in the conference that will compete for the Big Ten title this weekend.

    Indiana's men's team will be one of three ranked Big Ten programs competing on Saturday as the Hoosiers are currently No. 24 in the national coaches poll. The Indiana men placed third a year ago at Big Tens. Former Hoosier Zach Mayhew won the overall individual conference title in last year's race.
