    Director of Compliance - Rules Education

    Briana Fields was named Director of Compliance for Rules Education in July 2012 after working five years in the University of Missouri Athletics Compliance Office.

    Within the role of Director of Compliance for Rules Education, Fields is responsible for all NCAA and Big Ten Conference rules education provided to coaches, staff, student-athletes, and outside constituents. In addition to the rules education program, Fields serves as the primary contact for rules interpretations, administers and maintains student-athlete eligibility forms, monitors coaching staff declarations, and assists with the preparation and submission of NCAA Legislative Relief Waivers. Fields also serves as the primary compliance contact for Indiana University Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Softball, Swimming and Diving and Volleyball.

    While at Missouri, Fields worked in various roles within the Compliance Office. Most recently, from July 2009 through July 2012, she served as the Assistant Director of Compliance for Financial Aid. Fields's responsibilities included day-to-day operations of student-athlete financial aid, Student-Athlete Assistance Fund, practice and playing seasons, student-athlete employment, on-campus housing coordination, and outside competition. Prior to her promotion in 2009, Fields worked as the Administrative Compliance Coordinator from January 2008 through June 2009 and as a Compliance Office Intern from August 2007 through December 2007.

    Previous to her work at Missouri, Fields was as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Gannon University for the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. Fields earned her Bachelor's degree from Montana State University-Bozeman, where she was a basketball letter winner, Academic All-Conference Selection, and served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President during the 2004-05 academic year. In 2008, she earned her Master's of Education with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletics Leadership from the University of Washington, Seattle.
