Jenna (Jerden) LeClere joined the Indiana University athletics compliance staff in 2008 as Director of Compliance.
Jenna's primary job responsibilities include coordinating the rules education efforts for all 24 varsity sports and the coaches, staff, faculty and boosters who support those programs. She also serves as the co-leader for all interpretive questions coming from both internal and external sources.
Prior to arriving at IU, she worked as a part of the Membership Services office at the NCAA where she gained valuable experience reviewing and interpreting NCAA legislation on a variety of issues. She also served as a part of the Student-Athlete Reinstatement (SAR) team in reviewing and processing reinstatement and waiver requests from the NCAA membership. In addition to working with the NCAA, Jenna interned within the athletics compliance office at IUPUI in 2007 and with the office of the director of athletics at IU in 2005, where she was able to gain insight into the impact of NCAA legislation on campus.
Jenna earned her undergraduate degree in 2004 at the University of Tennessee, and completed her Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis in 2008. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and resides in Bloomington with her husband, Steven.
