Rebecca Pany joins the Indiana University Athletics Compliance Department as the Compliance Coordinator.

Pany, a four-year letterwinner for IU Field Hockey, earned her bachelor's in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 2012 from Indiana University. Since January, 2012, she served as a Compliance intern where she was responsible for correlating missed class time, outside competition, travel and donation request forms, while also assisting in writing department newsletters and creating rules education documents. Pany also assisted in various assignments involving initial eligibility among potential student-athletes and eligibility of current student-athletes, including transcript evaluation and IRL monitoring.

During the 2011 field hockey season, Pany spent her senior season as a student assistant coach for IU Field Hockey and assisting during practices, team meetings and office work. She was responsible for coding, analyzing and presenting game film, and also developed an alumni database and newsletter for the program. Pany has also worked with the U.S. Field Hockey Futures Program as a coach and coached the Marajoka Field Hockey Club, Whitehall High School Field Hockey Summer League, IU Field Hockey Camp, Gateway Field Hockey Camp and White Mountain Sports College Connection.

As a goalkeeper for the Hoosiers from 2008-10, Pany was a two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. In three seasons, she tallied 104 saves, a 1.98 goals against average and a .732 save percentage.
