For the first time since 1949, the Indiana Hoosiers (39-13, 16-7) have won a share of the Big Ten Championship in baseball. In an epic game on the road against fellow Big Ten title aspirant Ohio State (34-20, 15-8), the Hoosiers came from behind in the ninth inning to beat the Buckeyes 7-2 in 10 innings.

The 15th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (38-13, 15-7 Big Ten) suffered their eighth one-run loss of the season Thursday night, dropping a 2-1 decision in the series opener at Ohio State (34-19, 15-7). Indiana and the Buckeyes are locked up at the top of the conference standings with two games to play.

It's a four-horse race for the 2013 Big Ten Baseball Championship and two of the contending schools face off in Columbus, Ohio for the final series as #15 Indiana visits the Buckeyes of Ohio State starting on Thursday. The Hoosiers own a one-game edge on OSU and Nebraska while Minnesota also has a shot to be crowned regular season champs.

Sophomore catcher Kyle Schwarber (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown H.S.) has been selected to join USA Baseball's 2013 Collegiate National Team. He will be one of 24 college players to don the Stars and Stripes this summer.

It was déjà vu for the #15 Indiana University baseball team (38-12) Tuesday evening, watching a late-inning lead disappear to a non-conference opponent in the state of Kentucky. This week the Hoosiers went ahead 4-3 in the top of the seventh before the Wildcats of Kentucky (29-22) stormed back to garner a 5-3 victory.

It's a border battle Tuesday night in Lexington, Ky., as the #14 Indiana Hoosiers (38-11) take on the Kentucky Wildcats (28-22) under the lights of Cliff Hagan Stadium at 6:30 pm ET. It marks the final nonconference game of the regular season for both institutions.

Indiana whacked 16 hits on Sunday, scoring nine runs and earning the sixth Big Ten series victory of the season. IU starting pitcher Aaron Slegers limited the Northwestern lineup to two runs, picking up the eighth win of his redshirt sophomore campaign.

Indiana Baseball (37-11, 14-6 Big Ten) failed to the solve the riddle of Brandon Magallones Saturday afternoon, notching just two hits off the Northwestern starting pitcher in a 12-1 loss to the Wildcats (22-22, 9-14). Kyle Schwarber did get to him in the seventh inning though, crushing his Big Ten-leading 13th homerun of the season.

Indiana's bullpen shined in the #14 Hoosiers' 3-1 series-opening win over Northwestern (21-22, 5-14 Big Ten) Friday at Bart Kaufman Field. A quartet of IU relievers combined to allow a lone run in seven innings of working, including a winning effort by Scott Effross (6-1) spanning four and a third innings.

Bart Kaufman Field hosts its final regular season games of the inaugural 2013 season May 10-12 when the Northwestern Wildcats (21-21, 8-13 Big Ten) come to town to face the 14th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (36-10, 13-5). Game times are set for 6:05, 2:05 and 1:05 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Wednesday night's top-15 showdown between #14 Indiana (36-10) and #10 Louisville (39-10) lived up to the billing, ultimately ending with a walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth for the Cardinals. UL salvaged the season series after dropping two previous meetings with the Hoosiers earlier in 2013.

The Hoosiers (36-9, 13-5 Big Ten) dominated a Monday afternoon rubber match at Nebraska (21-25, 12-6), jumping all over the home team in a 10-2 winner. Slegers blanked the Huskers through the first eight innings and improved to 7-1 on the season with the win.
