    REDSHIRT JUNIOR YEAR: 2010
    Righty came back from offseason elbow surgery to make six starts with a 5.74 ERA ... went 3-2 on the year, allowing just 13 walks and 35 hits in 31 1/3 innings of work ... made his first appearance of 2010, starting and going 2 2/3 innings, at Minnesota (4/25) ... tossed five innings in his second start of the season, needing just 53 pitches to hold Purdue to two runs (5/2) ... pitched a brilliant 6 2/3 innings at Northwestern (5/9), allowing three hits and taking a one-hitter into the seventh ... went 5 2/3 innings at Michigan State (5/16), allowing two earned runs in a win ... delivered a gutsy performance in the finale against Illinois (5/22), tossing a season-high 7 1/3 innings.

    REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE YEAR: 2009

    REDSHIRT FRESHMAN YEAR (2008):
    Was stellar down the stretch to finish the season with a 3-1 record and a team-best 3.12 ERA ... allowed just 27 hits over 26 innings, and nine of his 10 appearances came out of the bullpen ... was an Academic All-Big Ten selection ... made his Hoosier debut against Miami (4/9), posting a perfect inning of work ... posted first career start against Ball State (4/16), going 3 2/3 innings and striking out three ... threw a scoreless ninth to preserve a win over Indiana State (4/23) ... pitched 3 2/3 strong innings of relief against Michigan (4/25) ... threw a perfect inning against Louisville (5/6) ... went the final 1 1/3 innings, striking out Northwestern's best two hitters in the 10th, to pick up a win over NU (5/11) ... threw the final inning against Butler (5/13) ... tossed five innings of four-hit scoreless relief in game two of a doubleheader with Michigan State (5/16) to pick up his second win on the year ... did not allow an earned run, scattering seven hits over 7 2/3 innings out of the bullpen in IU's extra-inning win over Ohio State (5/22) at the Big Ten Tournament.

    Earned three letters at Bishop Chatard as a pitcher ... went 6-3 on the mound with three complete games and three saves, notching 55 strikeouts to only 11 walks while accruing a 1.74 ERA as a senior to garner All-City mention ... at the plate, hit .341 with six doubles, six triples, two home runs, 25 RBIs and 30 runs ... was named All-City and Team MVP as a junior shortstop by hitting .413 with seven doubles, a triple, a home run and 11 stolen bases ... hit .437 in 2005 ... was named all-state as a junior in football when he set a school record for interceptions ... earned three letters in football for Bishop Chatard ... has one sister, Gina, and one brother, Scott ... parents are Gene and Raylene Carr.
