SOPHOMORE YEAR: 2011
Saw action in 46 games, including 39 starts ... recorded a .289 batting average (.302 in Big Ten play), two homeruns, five doubles and 13 RBI ... a menace on the basepaths, scorching the opposition for 16 steals on 17 attempts and scoring 26 runs ... made just one error in the outfield, ending the season with a .990 fielding percentage ... named to the Kleberg Bank College Classic All-Tournament Team after going 7-for-15 with three RBI and three runs scored over the weekend ... drove in three runs and cranked his first career homerun in the Hoosiers' series-clinching win at Michigan (4/2) ... continued to terrorize the state of Michigan, posting back-to-back three-hit games against the MSU Spartans (5/14-15) ... came around for six runs combined in the series sweep over Michigan State.
FRESHMAN YEAR: 2010
Played in 22 games in his debut season, starting eight times ... drove in three runs and scored six times ... also had a pair of stolen bases on the year ... made his Hoosier debut in the third game against San Diego (2/20) ... scored a run after coming on as a pinch-runner against West Virginia (2/26) ... went 1-for-2 with RBI against Bradley (3/16) ... against UMBC (3/19) went 1-for-1 with a run and RBI ... had a pinch-hit single against Morehead State (3/23) ... had a 2-for-3 day at the plate against Miami (4/20).
PREP/PERSONAL:
Picked up two letters for Rich Andriole at Cathedral ... also played a year at the Air Force Academy Preparatory School ... as a senior at Cathedral, hit two home runs and had 41 RBI to go along with 27 stolen bases ... that followed a junior year where he bashed eight longballs for 43 RBI and 23 swipes ... won the city and regional championships as both a junior and a senior ... helped his team to the state championship in both baseball and football as a junior ... also collected two letters in football and one in basketball ... intends to major in recreational sport management ... has three brothers, Trace, Ian and Luke ... parents are Marie and Jerome Cureton ... born Aug. 31, 1989.
