Named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger after posting a .360 batting average with 23 RBI, 12 doubles, two triples, 43 runs scored and eight steals ... started all 55 games, leading the team with 29 multi-hit games ... his 85 hits ranked second in the Big Ten while the .360 average slotted him fifth in the conference ... a unanimous pick for the Big Ten's All-Freshman team ... was tabbed as the conference's Freshman of the Week on three occasions ... beat out 21 infield hits ... strung together a 10-game hitting streak midseason ... the leadoff hitter scored at least one run in 32 contests ... made a splash in his collegiate debut, going 2-for-4 at the dish and pulling off a couple of defensive web gems at the hot corner versus Virginia Tech (2/18) ... posted a pair of four-hit days, at Ball State (3/23) and Michigan (4/1) ... named to the Kleberg Bank College Classic All-Tournament Team.
