    JUNIOR YEAR: 2012
    First Team All-Big Ten selection as the conference's best relief pitcher ... etched his named into the IU record books, making 29 appearances (3rd all-time) with eight wins (t-9th) and five saves (t-9th) ... six W's came during Big Ten play, the second-most ever for a Hoosier ... all over the conference's top-10 rankings for 2012; posting eight wins (t-2nd), a 2.27 ERA (3rd), 29 appearances (3rd), .243 batting average against (9th) and five saves (9th) ... went 8-2 overall with 35 strikeouts in 63.1 innings of work ... escalated to a new level in conference action, going 6-0 with a 1.08 ERA, three saves and a .208 average against ... credited with the win or save in 64 percent (9 of 14) of IU's Big Ten wins ... pitched in all three games of a series victory at Penn State (3/23-25) ... pulled off an incredible feat in a doubleheader sweep of Nebraska (5/6), earning a pair of four-inning saves in the same day ... hurled a combined 4.2 shutout frames in back-to-back wins at Northwestern (5/12-13) ... blanked the Buckeyes through 4.1 innings spanning two games the following weekend ...     SOPHOMORE YEAR: 2011
    Toed the rubber for 21.1 innings of relief, making 14 appearances ... struck out 18 batters compared to just four walks ... made his season debut at Xavier (3/2), tossing 1.1 shutout innings ... made a big impact in the Hoosiers' series sweep over Michigan State (5/14-15) ... worked the seventh inning of the 15-inning triumph in game two, sitting down the Spartans `1-2-3' ... followed up with a season-long outing in the sweep clincher, striking out five and surrendering a lone run in 4.2 innings of action ... struck out three batters in consecutive appearances against Minnesota (4/23) and Miami (OH) (4/26).

    FRESHMAN YEAR: 2010
    Freshman came on strong at the end of the season, going 2-3 with an 8.80 ERA on the year ... six of the righty's eight starts came in Big Ten play, where he settled in as the team's Saturday starter ... had 26 strikeouts to 16 walks in 45 innings of work ... made his first career start in game two of the doubleheader with USD (2/20) ... threw four strong innings out of the bullpen against Connecticut (2/28), striking out three and allowing five hits and no earned runs ... tossed 4 2/3 strong innings against Xavier, (3/24) allowing six hits ... struck out three in two solid innings against Michigan (4/4) ... tossed a pair of shutout innings at Valpo (4/13) ... had an impressive start in game two against Iowa (4/17), going five innings and allowing just five hits and one run ... went a career-long 5 2/3 innings and struck out six, surrendering four hits in a win over Minnesota (4/24) ... allowed five hits and a walk in five frames at Michigan State (5/15).

    PREP/PERSONAL:
    Played for Joe Gonzales at El Camino ... as a senior, went 3-5 and struck out 56 batters in 49 2/3 innings ... allowed just 12 walks on the season ... holds the school records for strikeouts in a career (106), season (56) and game (12) ... became just the sixth player in greater San Diego history to throw two no-hitters in the same season when he did so during the 2008 campaign for El Camino ... the two no-nos were the first two in school history ... strung together 10 consecutive no-hit innings, the 10th best streak in San Diego history ... was named All-Avocado League Second Team in 2008 ... was named his team's pitcher of the year and defensive player of the year in 2006 ... a General Studies major ... has three sisters, Allison, Rachel and Alexandra ... parents are Eric and Lauren Hoffman and Leslie and Craig Strickland ... born April 16, 1991.
