    Made 12 appearances, including one start ... pitched a total of 21 innings, striking out 17 batters and posting a 1-0 record ... earned that `W' by tossing a pair of no-hit innings against Ball State (4/4) ... that outing was sandwiched by two other shutout appearances versus Iowa (3/31) and at Illinois (4/7) ... blanked Eastern Kentucky (3/21) in a 1.2-inning stint ... did not allow an earned run in his 4.1-inning start against Miami (OH) (4/24).

    Redshirted due to shoulder injury.

    Righty had a strong debut season, appearing in 19 games and making 10 starts, serving as the team's Sunday starter for much of the early season ... went 3-4 with a 6.27 ERA in 60 1/3 innings of work ... had a sparkling debut on the mound, going six innings and allowing just seven hits to lead the Hoosiers to a 7-5 win over San Diego (2/21) ... went 5 2/3 against Villanova (2/27), punching out three ... surrendered two runs against Illinois State (3/5) in his 5 1/3 innings of work ... went five innings vs. UMBC, striking out a career-high seven batters (3/19) ... against Saint Francis, threw seven strong innings, picking up his third career win (3/26) ... tossed a scoreless frame at Miami (4/20) ... came out of the pen to deliver 3 1/3 innings of hitless relief at Minnesota (4/24) to record his first career save ... tossed a shutout inning of relief against Illinois (5/20) ... went 2 2/3 innings against Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament, allowing just two hits and one walk in keeping the Golden Gophers off the scoreboard.

    Played high school baseball for Bob Rosinski at Glenbrook South ... as a senior, posted a 1.90 ERA striking out 80 batters in 50 innings ... also posted a .360 batting average with seven doubles, three triples and three home runs ... was named his team MVP for his performance ... picked up All-Conference and Central Suburban All-Star recognition ... played football for Glenbrook South as well, helping the team to an 8-1 record with the loss coming against the 8A state champions ... the son of Challen and Matt Stadler, both IU graduates ... Matt was a three-time Big Ten Champion and All-American swimmer under legendary coach Doc Counsilman ... born on Jan. 28, 1991 ... has a sister, Challen; and two brothers, Sully and Fitzpatrick ... Sully is a freshman on the IU Baseball team while Challen also attends IU ... a Recreational Sport Management major.
