    Go Hoosiers!
After losing nine letterwinners from last season's squad, the Indiana baseball team welcomes 17 newcomers this season. In the coming weeks, we will feature each IU newcomer leading up to the team's Feb. 22 opener against DePauw. Brad Davidson is next up in the spotlight.

A late signee to the IU program, Davidson arrived in Bloomington in early January. The 6-0 southpaw attended West Geauga High School in Novelty, Ohio, and will get an opportunity to fill a spot in the Hoosier rotation.

The son of Randall and Diane Davidson also played football at West Geauga.

HEAD COACH BOB MORGAN ON DAVIDSON:
"Brad gives us a strong left-handed pitcher who has a chance to be in our Big Ten starting rotation. He possesses good mechanics, and he has good command of all his pitches."

    DAVIDSON ON CHOOSING IU:
"It is an opportunity to play Division I baseball, and the players and coaches are great."
