    Go Hoosiers!
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Chris Moore is beginning his second year as the volunteer coach on the Indiana baseball staff. Moore joined the Hoosiers after spending the 2000 and 2001 seasons as an assistant coach at Tacoma (Washington) Community College. To get to know Coach Moore off the field, read on...

    1. The best thing about coaching baseball at Indiana is:
Working with able and eager players.

    2. Since you started coaching, what has changed the most about the game, your job, etc.?

Not much. The field dimensions are the same. The fundamentals are the same. Players change, for
better and for worse, but the game and my job remains about the same.

    3. Is there a team (baseball or another sport) that have you followed and cheered for since you were a little kid?

    Seattle Mariners.

    4. Who were you rooting for in this season's MLB playoffs?

    Chicago Cubs.

    5. What is the most memorable moment of your athletic career as an athlete?

Starting for my high school basketball team. I was terrible, so it was quite an accomplishment.

    6. What is the most memorable moment of your athletic career as a coach?
Any time a former player calls or writes. That is by far better than any win I've had. And I really enjoy winning.

    7. If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?

George W. Bush. I couldn't be any worse at running the country than he is.

    8. When and how did you come to the realization that you wanted to become a coach?

I was a senior in college when I realized I wanted to do something that I loved for a living
rather than whatever brought in the most money. Plus, it's better than a real job.

    9. What is your all-time favorite meal?

I don't really have one. I am generally not a picky eater.

    10. What do you like to do in your spare time?

    Read and listen to music.

    11. Who is your all-time favorite athlete?

Ken Griffey Jr., although he has turned out to be a stiff.

    12. Where is your favorite vacation spot?

    New York City.

    13. What is your favorite movie?

    The Usual Suspects.

    14. Are there television shows that you watch religiously?

    15. What's the best advice you've ever been given and who did it come from?

"Life is too short to worry. Life is too long to wait."- From a guy named Todd.
