    In the weeks leading up to the 2008 season, IUHoosiers.com will be introducing you to the newest members of the Indiana Baseball team. The newcomer profile for Saturday, Feb. 9, is of freshman outfielder T.C. Knipp.

    T.C. Knipp is in his first year with the Hoosiers after playing three years of varsity ball for Carmel High School. As a senior, the outfielder hit .410 with 16 doubles, 29 runs and 18 RBIs.

    For his production, Knipp was named to All-Metro North team following his senior campaign. He also garnered All-Hamilton County recognition and All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference honors after both his junior and senior campaigns and led Carmel to the MIC Championship as a junior.

    A two-sport athlete, Knipp also played basketball at Carmel, and has one brother, Drew. The son of Lisa and Denny Knipp was born on April 29, 1988, and plans to major in business at Indiana.
