In the weeks leading up to the 2008 season, IUHoosiers.com will be introducing you to the newest members of the Indiana Baseball team. The newcomer profile for Tuesday, Feb. 19, is of freshman infielder Ethan Wilson.

Ethan Wilson joins the Hoosiers after being a four-year letterwinner at Pendleton Heights High School. The standout infielder was named team captain in 2007 before an injury cut his season short.

Wilson led the school to a 24-4 record in 2006 and earned all-state honorable mention. He also earned all-conference laurels from the Hoosier Heritage Conference, and was the all-area MVP as he hit .370 for Pendleton and led the team in doubles (10), triples (3), RBIs (32) and steals (10) while adding 27 runs.

The son of Brian and Amy Wilson was born on March 9, 1989. He is undecided as to his major at Indiana.
