Hoosier Baseball to be Broadcast Live on IUHoosiers.com

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the first time, Indiana Baseball fans will be able to listen to the Hoosiers online, as IU will offer free Internet-only audio broadcasts for all 56 games during the 2008 season. Fans can listen to the Hoosiers live through IUHoosiers.com.
"This is a great opportunity for our program," head coach Tracy Smith said. "We are building a baseball culture here in Bloomington and allowing our fans in Indiana and around the country to listen to Indiana Baseball is a big part of that."
Fans can access the audio broadcasts by clicking here and choosing the game from the schedule. All times are Eastern on the broadcast schedule and are subject to change. The broadcasts are streamed through Stretch Internet.
Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations Matt Brady will be call the action for all road games, while Adam Spolane will handle play-by-play duties for home contests. Broadcasts will start approximately 10 minutes prior to first pitch.
Stretch Internet, based in Mesa, Ariz., provides streaming and other Internet services to more than 150 colleges, universities, professional teams and radio stations while reaching an audience of more than 50,000 users per month. Founded in 2002 by a former college sports information director, Stretch Internet is devoted to customer service and providing a first-class, high quality experience for its clients and their extended communities.
The Hoosiers will begin their 2008 campaign on Friday, Feb. 22, when they take on No. 34 LSU in Baton Rouge, La. Game time is set for 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST at Alex Box Stadium.
