    Indiana uses 11-run seventh inning to come back for victory

    Bloomington, Ind.P The Indiana baseball team fell behind IU Southeast but sent 15 batters to the plate in the seventh inning, scoring 11 runs and taking a 15-6 lead they would never relinquish.

    Scott Anleitner hit a mammoth home run to right field to lead off the seventh inning, and added an RBI single later in the inning. He finished the game two for three with three RBI. Jason Williams and Benji Clause also had a pair of singles apiece during the nine-hit outburst.

    The Hoosiers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI double by Brandt Childs and a sacrifice fly by Anleitner, but the Grenadiers jumped on starter Chris Wilson for four runs in the top of the third inning and added another run against freshman Zack McClellan in the fourth inning.

    Senior Greg Schabel (1-0) started the fifth inning and pitched extremely well, earning the victory while allowing just two hits and one run over four innings.

    Senior Mike Spisak and Williams had three apiece as the Hoosiers had a season high 14 hits.

    "They (IU Southeast) put a lot of pressure on us,S Head Coach Bob Morgan said. "We were able to put a big inning together and when we made a run at them, they couldn't shut it off."

    Senior Roger Rodeheaver had an RBI single in the sixth inning to extend his hitting streak to six games.

    The victory improves the Hoosiers record to 3-4, while IU Southeast falls to 0-3. IU will travel to Evansville this weekend for the 7-Up Diamond Classic at Bosse Field. Their first round opponent is Butler on Friday (Feb. 27) at 1 p.m.
