    FOUR HOOSIERS NAMED ALL-BIG TEN

    Bloomington, Ind. -- Four Indiana baseball players - Doug DeVore, Chris Wilson, Dan Haegele and Jason Torres - were named to Big Ten all-conference teams today.

    DeVore, a junior from Dublin, Ohio, was the lone Indiana first team selection. He posted career-highs this season with a .360 average, 19 home runs and 65 runs batted in. The 19 home runs was the fourth-best single season total in school history while the 65 RBI ranks seventh on the all-time list.

    Indiana's closer, Chris Wilson was named to the league's second team. The junior from West Chester, Ohio, set an Indiana record this season with eight saves, including seven in Big Ten play. He also tied a career-high with four wins (4-2) and had an era of 3.89.

    Haegele was the league's third team designated hitter. He led the Hoosiers with a career high .370 average to go along with three home runs and 39 RBI. The junior from Westerville, Ohio also led the team with 59 runs scored.

    Torres, a senior from Chesterton, Ind. was also a third team selection. He was IU's No. 1 starter all season and went 4-2 with a 3.41 ERA. His earned run average was among the top three in the league all season long.
