Indiana Selected to Host NCAA Baseball Regional, May 30-June 2

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the second time in as many years, the Indiana University baseball program will host an NCAA Regional. The Hoosiers were selected by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee as one of 16 teams worthy of hosting the national championship tournament's opening week.
Bart Kaufman Field will welcome in three additional NCAA Tournament teams for a four-team, double-elimination competition. The victor qualifies for one of eight Super Regionals and takes one step closer to the College World Series in Omaha. Regional play begins on Friday, May 30 and runs through Monday, June 2 if necessary. All NCAA Regional action will be broadcast by the ESPN family of networks.
Indiana, owner of a 42-13 record, is coming off a clean sweep of conference crowns, winning both the Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament titles. It will mark the Hoosiers' fifth trip to the NCAAs, also qualifying in 1949, 1996, 2009 and 2013.
The entire 64-team field, including teams coming to the Bloomington Regional, is announced during the NCAA Selection Show Monday (May 26) at noon ET on ESPNU. All-session tickets can be purchased from the IU ticket office beginning on Tuesday, May 27 at 9 a.m. ET. Single session tickets will be made available for purchase on Friday, May 30.
