Crawford Honored by Ping!Baseball

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Freshman second baseman Evan Crawford has been named to the inaugural Ping!Baseball All Ping! Freshman Team, the publication has announced. Crawford was a second team selection at second base for the publication's squad.
Crawford was one of just two position players from the Big Ten to be named to the first, second or third teams by Ping! Michigan State outfielder Chris Roberts was a third team selection, while Big Ten Freshman of the Year Matt Bischoff was a first team pitcher for the publication. Two other Big Ten players were awarded honorable mention.
In his debut campaign, Crawford played both second base and shortstop for the Hoosiers, leading the team in doubles with 13. The Reynoldsburg, Ohio, native finished second on the Hoosiers with a .333 average, 30 RBIs and 18 steals. He was also third on the team with 30 runs.
