Bloomington, Ind. – Indiana University baseball coach Bob Morgan announced today that junior Vasili Spanos was recently named third team All-America by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

The third baseman's honor marks the third award in two months for the River Forest, Ill. native. Spanos was named first team All-Big Ten in May and selected to the Mideast Regional first team last month.

This past season, Spanos had a .385 batting average, hitting 16 home runs with 65 runs batted in. The junior also had a slugging percentage of .782, which ranks third on Indiana's all-time list.
