BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana baseball players Michael Earley and Brian Lambert were honored as Great Lakes League All-Stars for their first-half performance in the summer league. Earley and Lambert have both had solid summer seasons for the Grand Lake Mariners.

Earley started at catcher in the all-star game, delivering one hit in two at-bats. Lambert came off the bench to play left field and went 0-for-2 in the contest.

Earley has played first base, third base, outfield and designated hitter in his two years for the Hoosiers, but served as the team's emergency catcher throughout 2009. The Anderson, Ind., native is hitting .311 with seven doubles, one home run and nine RBI for Grand Lake this summer. He also is 8-for-11 on the basepaths for the Mariners.

Lambert had a tremendous end to the 2009 campaign for IU, as he hit .412 with three doubles in the Big Ten Tournament. The Pontiac, Ill., native has carried that hot hitting over into his summer, where he has a .326 average with an impressive .463 on-base percentage. The rising redshirt junior has scored 16 runs and stolen 13 bases on the summer.
