FLOSSMOOR, Ill. - Indiana outfielder Chris Sujka has been named Co-Most Valuable Player of the Midwest Collegiate League postseason, sharing the award with Southland Vikings teammate and LHP Chris Chigas. Sujka, a rising junior for the Hoosiers, led the Vikings to their first league title ever.
The Mount Carmel, Ill., native batted .500 (6-for-12) with a homerun, four RBI, four walks, two stolen bases and seven runs scored in four postseason contests. Sujka drove in the first run of the second game of the MCL finals by lifting a third-inning sacrifice fly. He went 3-for-7 and scored three runs in Southland's series sweep of Northwest Indiana.
