Hoosier Caddy Golf Classic Returns for 2008
Sept. 8, 2008
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana baseball team will host the second annual Hoosier Caddy Golf Classic on Friday, Oct. 10, at the IU Golf Course. All benefits will go to the IU baseball team, and players, family, alumni and friends of the program are all invited to join in the festivities.
"This was a great event for IU baseball in 2007 and we're glad it's back for 2008," head coach Tracy Smith said. "We had so much fun last year and it was beneficial for the program too. I think everyone who takes part in the Classic will have a fantastic time."
The four-person scramble will get started with lunch and check-in at 11:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The driving range and putting green will also be available. Dinner and awards will follow the event.
The cost of the event is $99 per golfer with an IU student rate of $49. In addition to lunch and dinner, those participating will play 18 holes of golf, will receive complimentary beverages, riding cart, range balls and an adidas polo shirt. Awards and door prizes will also be presented.
Registration will run through Friday, Oct. 3, with spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation of registration will be delivered by mail or e-mail.
