Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana University baseball schedule, a slate that features Big Ten series in Bloomington against Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern and intrastate rival Purdue, has been set for the 2002-03 season. Indiana is coming off a Big Ten Conference Tournament appearance and and a 35-20 record a season ago.
Head coach Bob Morgans 20th season kicks off with a three-game series at Morehead State, Feb. 21-23. The Hoosiers will make their first appearance at Sembower Field in Bloomington on Feb. 25 with a single game against DePauw.
IU will take its spring break trip to Bradenton, Fla., March14-22, before returning home for a final tune-up before the start of Big Ten play against Saginaw Valley on March 25. The Hoosiers will play their conference series opener at Illinois, March 28-30. Michigan State comes to town for Indianas first Big Ten home series April 11-13. Another series of note is May 10-12 when Indiana hosts Purdue in baseballs version of the Titan Series.
The Big Ten Conference Tournament is set for May 21-24 with a site to be determined. The regular season champion earns the right to host the event.
